Just start

In 2022 I had a baby. It didn’t take long for my abs to go MIA. I lived on cold coffee, and the only squats I did were picking up toys.
Then when the time was right (after a lot of procrastination) I had word with myself.
It dawned on me that if nothing changed, then nothing was going to change.
Staying stuck was scarier than making that change. No one was going to help me except me. And most importantly… I was tired of waiting for my body to feel better while I did nothing.
So I stopped waiting to have a 10-step plan, fancy leggings, or a full night’s sleep.
I started messy. Tired. Clueless. Walks turned into couch to 5k. Procrastination turned into sweaty action. And Cordelia has grown up watching my journey and wanting to exercise with me.
Was it easy? Nope.
Do I still hide in the bathroom for peace? Absolutely.
But now I’m stronger, fitter, and not stuck still anymore.
So here’s your reminder: You don’t need to be perfect to begin.
Start now. Figure it out as you go.
You can either be uncomfortable changing or uncomfortable staying the same. Only one of those leads to where you really want to be in life.
Small steps lead to big changes.
