Don’t believe everything you think

This week one of my mantra’s on repeat is “don’t believe everything you think”.

Our brains are basically like a prediction machine, and they love to prove themselves right. Which is both annoying and incredibly clever.

Expect failure? We will spot every reason to quit.

Expect growth? We will find opportunities everywhere.

Have you heard of the placebo effect? Our beliefs can literally influence our body, performance, and health. Mind. Blown!

But here’s the coolest part; our thought patterns aren’t facts. They’re just habits. And, guess what? Habits can be changed.

We can literally train our brains to be more optimistic. We can practice gratitude. We can build emotional resilience. These aren’t traits we’re born with but tools anyone can learn to use. Including me, including you.

Our thoughts shape our reality. Change our thoughts → change [insert desired change]

The possibilities are so exciting.

Note: it doesn’t have to be something huge or life changing. As I know from the past couple of weeks, this process can help you manage things when life is a bit of an uphill struggle. So, apply as needed and keep going.
